Fast and Furious 7 – Paul Walker’s Last Ride
I’ve been planning to catch the latest installment of the Fast and Furious for some time. However, time would not allow me until yesterday when the missus and I went to Waigani Central’s Paradise Cinema.
I’ve heard raving reviews about the film from peers but I like to keep an open mind. Anyway, it was nothing short of spectacular and toward the end very touching. So, I’m only going to mention a couple of things that stood out for me in Fast and Furious 7.
While the action sequences were great and filled with enough explosions to level several buildings which may have caused me a hearing problem because I thought Elena Neves’ accent sounded a bit weird.
Elena first appeared in Fast Five and is Brazilian. However, this time her accent sounded like she was from Ireland. Now, it could just be the explosions onscreen that may have affected my hearing but if anyone heard the same then please comment.
Of course the best part comes at the end when Dom (Vin Diesel) and O’Conner (Paul Walker) go for that last ride. It reminisces the film that started it all and is a fitting way to say goodbye to an old friend – a brother.
Now, I’ve heard that there might be another installment but I doubt it will ever be the same again.
